Now don't get me wrong, I don't approve of everything David Beckham has done in his personal life and his football career, but that doesn't mean I don't respect him. Granted, all of England despised Beckham after the red card he received in the 1998 World Cup Series in France against Argentina, but he quickly regained everyone's trust and appreciation. Despite cheating on his wife, people still love and adore Beckham with almost a God-like status. Even his wife still took David back, proving he means too much to her to just throw away everything they have between them. He has worked hard throughout his football career, and put in many hours of time and dedication into training to get better. His coaches admired his self-discipline and responsibility not only as an athlete but as a person. He has lead his team to great victories, and has never once turned his back on his teammates.
